Reinjectiondrilling
Pilot project Unterhaching
- The company “Anger’s Söhne” was assigned to realise the reinjection well drilling and the British drilling firm “Edeco” provided the drilling equipment. After the permission was granted by the Mining Authority of Southern Bavaria the drilling start event took place on the 2nd of June 2006.
- The drilling team reached the preliminary final depth with a drilling length of 3,595 m in total (depth: 3,300 m) on the 12th of November 2006, hence the aquiferous layer "Malm Karst" was reached.
- On 8th of January 2007 there were interim results of the second drilling: The thermal water temperature was 125 °C - far higher than the experts´ prognosis. In contrast, at this point in time the delivery was only half as high as the delivery of the first drilling. As this would result in a higher demand for electric energy in the production phase, the "Geothermie Unterhaching GmbH & Co. KG" decided to undertake measures to improve the productivity of the well. As a result the drilling was continued.
- In the end, the second drilling had a temperature of >130 °C and a delivery of >150 l/s and was therefore even better compared to the already excellent results of the first drilling. For this reason the successful realisation of the pilot project in Unterhaching was assured.
